Go Surrey – an experiment in hyperlocal

Last week we, that we being Codesauce, launched our first project. The project is an experiment in hyperlocal websites, and the first website is Go Surrey.

The simple idea of our hyperlocal website is to help fill the online void that resides in local communities.

There are some good attempts at forms of hyperlocal community websites across the UK but they only seem to cover select parts of community life, whereas our hyperlocals project will aim to be more inclusive.

We picked Surrey county, the historical county that is rather than the current county borders. This being home to Codesauce and our most familiar surroundings to test the concept.
