How to Make Money Online with TopCashback

I am new to Cashback sites. It’s something I probably should have got into a little while ago. Not sure why I didn’t, over the last few years I have probably lost £1000s in unclaimed cashback rewards.

That’s changed as of July 2015 where I signed up to TopCashback.

Once you have signed up the first thing you should do is check out the TopCashback notifier. It’s a free add-on for Firefox, Chrome and Safari internet browsers. It basically alerts you when you visit a site that TopCashback has a valid cashback reward offer for.

It’s a no-brainer really.

What is TopCashback?

TopCashback is one of the leading cashback sites in the UK. According to Money Saving Expert, the gurus of all things thrifty, it is their number 1 pick.

What is Cashback?

Simply put, cashback is a ‘form of incentive offered to buyers of certain products whereby they receive a cash refund after making their purchase’.

My TopCashback Experience

Ok, I thought I would update this post with my personal experience of using TopCashback to make money online from the things I am already buying.

My first purchase was a Chinese takeaway through HungryHouse (I know, naughty!).

I started by typing HungryHouse in the search bar.

I clicked the HungryHouse cashback link. It says I will get 4.2% back. Not life changing but it’s free money! Nice.

Then this is where the magic happens. Topcashback refers me to the HungryHouse and records the date and time.

I ordered and I ate the Chinese (yes, it was good!).

Afterwards, I popped back on to TopCashback to see if anything happened. Yes, it did. It recorded the value of my transaction and the value of my cashback.

As you can see my cashback is pending. That’s just to verify that it was a 100% legit purchase and that in two weeks I should get £0.77 back.

TopCashback Tips

It’s not life changing, but it can save you/earn you £100s even £1000s per year when you purchase online. I have a few tips to help you make the most of TopCashback.

1. Always go for the best value purchase not just the one with cashback. I know that makes sense but you can get hooked on trying to earn through cashback sites but if its not the best value deal then it will technically cost more.
2. Withdraw any earnings as soon as they are payable. You don’t want to be stuck with a company that could go bust with all your earnings locked away.
3. Always check Topcashback when you make a purchase online.
