October 2016 Online Income Report

I’ve decided to publish my online income and it’s not a step I take lightly. Over the last few years, this blog and my online income has been floating along, but since last month I decided to take things more seriously and commit to making money and saving money online.

For me, publishing my income does two things. It keeps me accountable to the readers of this blog, and it keeps me on track with my commitment to take this seriously.

Online Income Report – October 2016

So, here is my online income report for October 2016. This is the first time I have done one of these so please bear with me.

Matched Betting – £582

This is by far my biggest earner. I do matched betting using Profit Accumulator. It is a tax-free, risk-free way to earn extra cash. I have written some things on matched betting if you want to find out more.

Google AdSense Advertising – £11

Halfway through the month I decided to introduce a bit of advertising on this site so I signed up to Google AdSense. I’ve made £11 for the latter part of the month, not a massive amount, but still every little does help.

Income Subtotal – £593

I only managed to generate revenue from two income sources in my first month. It’s not a life-changing some of money, but I’m pretty happy with generating some online income.

Expenses Subtotal – £24

There was only 1 expense for October and that was my WPEngine Hosting which was £24. I think there may have been a few more smaller expenses, but will wait until the next income report to comb through that.

Total for October 2016 – £569

There are a few things I have learnt along the way and writing up this income report has really help to frame those lessons. In the coming month, I am going to look at working harder on producing more high quality and relevant long form content; attempt to generate some income through affiliates; find new ways to generate income online.

Overall, not terrible for my first published income report.
